About Us

As one of California State Parks’ largest public benefit organizations, Crystal Cove Conservancy aims to restore the unique treasures of Crystal Cove State Park, educate thousands of students each year by working alongside scientists to conduct real research in the park, and protect the park’s critical habitats that are home to endangered plants, threatened animals and rare birds.

For over two decades, we’ve been dedicated to preserving Crystal Cove’s storied past to honor those who came before us, working to create a welcoming place that allows everyone who visits today to connect with the park

With our State Park partners, we continue to steward 3.2 miles of beach and 2,400 acres of backcountry wilderness and an offshore marine protected area, as well as restoring the historic Crystal Cove Beach Cottages. By employing a social enterprise model, we’re able to fund important preservation, conservation and education initiatives that ensure Crystal Cove State Park, and places like it, are preserved for generations to come.
